Casino: sells stake in Almacenes Éxito
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday 13 October 2023, Casino's Board of Directors approved the signing of a preliminary agreement with Grupo Calleja for the sale of Casino's entire stake in Almacenes Éxito for 34.
05% of its share capital.
This transaction is made in the context of public tender offers to be launched by Grupo Calleja in Colombia and the US to acquire 100% of the outstanding shares of Grupo Éxito subject to the acquisition of at least 51% of the shares
The price to be offered under the Tender Offer is $1.175bn for 100% of the outstanding shares, equivalent to $0.9053 per share, representing a total of $400m (i.e. E380m at this date) for Casino Group's direct stake and $156m (E148m) for GPA's stake.
