Vinci: becomes Belgrade Airport concessions operator

(CercleFinance.com) - After the lifting of suspensive conditions, Vinci Airports has announced that it has officially become the concessions operator of the Nikola Tesla Airport of Belgrade for 25 years, responsible for the funding, operation, maintenance, extension and renovation.

The French coonstruction and civil engineering group has hence raised loans totalling 420 million euros with a maturity of up to 17 years with the IFC, the EBRD, the Agence française de développement, the DEG and six commercial banks.

"When it officially takes over operations this 22 December, VINCI Airports will be in a position to harness the expertise it has built as a world-class operator to grow Serbia's main airport into a major hub for south-eastern Europe (it catered to 5.3 million passengers in 2017) and to drive its development."
