Vinci: wins contract in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Thursday Vinci announced that the German national railway operator Deutsche Bahn Vinci Construction Terassement has been awarded by the work project 1.
4 for the high-speed train line which will connect Stuttgart, the largest town of Baden-Wurtenberg, to Ulm, in Germany.
This 55 million euro contract involves building the railway section between Stuttgart Airport and the city of Wendlingen. The work includes 5.4 kilometres of earthwork and drainage, 7.5 km of siding and 8,500 square metres of noise barriers.
The section will take 24 months to build and will employ 100 people.
