Ingenico: makes acquisition in Spain.
(CercleFinance.com) - Ingenico Group has announces the acquisition of IECISA Electronic Payment System, a leading provider of payment services in Spain and technology and digital division of the Group El Corte Ingles, a transaction whose the financial terms have not been specified.
Based in Madrid, IECISA Electronic Payment System has emerged as the leading provider of in-store centralised electronic payments. Each year it handles annually approximately 360 million transactions on an installed base of 46,000 terminals.
The deal includes a cooperation agreement between Ingenico and IECISA to offer innovative payment services to merchants. The transaction is set to be finalized before the end of November 2017.
