Saint-Gobain: interested in CRH's businesses
(CercleFinance.com) - Saint-Gobain and Kingfisher might be interested in CRH's distribution business in Europe, according to Bryan Garnier quoting press sources, following the Irish group's announcement of a strategic review of this activity.
Although it recognises that French players which operate in building materials may be interested in certain parts, the broker doubts that they may want to buy the entire division, because it would not be adapted to their strategy.
According to Bryan Garnier, Saint-Gobain could consider the business relating to tradesmen, although it points out that the group's network is already strong in Europe - for example, with a market share of over 25% in France.
