EssilorLuxottica: growth slows slightly in Q3
(CercleFinance.com) - EssilorLuxottica has reported Q3 sales of E6,924m, up 5.
2% y-o-y at constant exchange rates (-1.6% at current exchange rates).
The company says that growth in Q3 was slightly slower than in H1, due to weaker retail sales of sunglasses.
At constant exchange rates, sales nevertheless rose by 5.7% for the Professional Solutions division and by 4.7% for Direct to Consumer.
Geographically, sales were driven by the dynamic Asia-Pacific region (+11.7% at constant exchange rates), EMEA (+6.9% at constant exchange rates) and Latin America (+6.2% at constant exchange rates).
The company reports that sales for the first nine months of 2023 were 7.2% higher than in 2022, with 9m growth continuing to exceed the long-term target of around 5% a year.
