Thales: develops Copernicus CO2M satellites
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Alenia Space, a joint venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has signed an amendment to its CO2M contract worth 169 million euros with the prime contractor for the OHB System project.
The contract covers the development and qualification of the payloads of the first two satellites of the CO2M mission of the European Copernicus program.
Copernicus is the European Commission's central satellite Earth observation program, providing Earth observation data for environmental protection, climate monitoring and natural disaster assessment.
