Thales: agreement with NASA
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales announced on Tuesday that it has signed an agreement with NASA as part of a "Space Act Agreement" to support unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) traffic management (UTM) activity.
This agreement will enable the group to collaborate with NASA in R&D and programs, to help set up the unmanned aerial systems traffic organization in the US. It will also enable Thales to use its global expertise in the field of UTM.
To support the different stages of development of NASA's UTM systems, Thales will work with industrial and government stakeholders on the integration of unmanned systems through sharing expertise, concepts and development plans.
