Thales: Airbus supplier in Asia-Pacific
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that at the Singapore Air Show, Airbus has decided to choose it as a subcontractor for repairs and avionic components in the Asia-Pacific region.
Repairs will be conducted from its regional MRO hub in Singapore.
This contract covers the repair of components installed on all Airbus single-aisle and long-haul aircraft, as well as the entire A350 fleet in Asia-Pacific for the next seven years, with a possible extension of three years.
Airbus sees the Asia-Pacific region as a strategic hub for growth over the next 15 years, as demand for new aircraft expected to more than double by 2036, the high tech group stresses.
