Wendel: USSA acquisition by Allied Universal finalised
(CercleFinance.com) - Wendel announced late on Friday that Allied Universal has finalised its acquisition of US Security Associates (USSA), (of which wendel holds about one third of the capital) for about one billion dollars.
USSA is one of the main security and related service providers in the US, with over 50,000 security professionals who work for several thousand clients.
Allied Universal has financed the transaction through additional debt and a fund-raising contribution from its current shareholders amounting to 200 million dollars. Wendel's contribution amounts to approximately 78 million dollars, bringing the group's total investment in the company to approximately 378 million dollars Wendel said.
