Imerys: Patrick Kron appointed board chairman
(CercleFinance.com) - Imerys announces that its Board of Directors has decided to co-opt Patrick Kron as new independent director and to appoint him as Chairman of its Board, with immediate effect, replacing Gilles Michel.
In May 2018, for personal reasons, Gilles Michel decided to step down as Chairman and CEO of the industrial specialty minerals group. He agreed to remain chairman of the board of directors over a transition period.
Patrick Kron is currently Chairman of Truffle Capital, a venture capital firm specialising in BioMedTech and Digital and PKC & I, a consulting firm. He was CEO and then Chairman and CEO of Alstom (2003-2016) and previously, Chairman of Imerys' Executive Board (1998-2002).
