Sanofi: new head of Global R&D
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced that Dr Elias Zerhouni, Head of Global Research and Development, will retire on 30 June 2018 after more than 9 years of distinguished service with the company.
Dr John C. Reed will succeed him as from 1 July.
Dr Reed will report directly to Dr Brandicourt and will be a member of the Executive Committee. He will join Sanofi on 30 April for an effective and smooth transition. He has been responsible for Roche Pharma international research and early development for five years.
In this role, he was in charge of the research and early development activities until phase 2B proof-of-concept (PoC) studies in all therapeutic areas. He was also a member of Roche's Executive Committee, reporting to the group's CEO.
