Bouygues: backs Alstom and Siemens Mobility merger.

(CercleFinance.com) - As Alstom's largest shareholder, with 28.
3% of its share capital, the Bouygues share is benefiting from the announcement of the proposed merger of the French railway equipment manufacturer and the Mobility division of the German conglomerate Siemens.
The State has also decided not to exercise its options and will therefore not enter into Alstom's capital.

Bouygues fully supports the transaction and will vote in its favour at the Alstom's board meeting and at its extraordinary general meeting deciding on the transaction, which will be held by 31 July 2018, Alstom/Siemens said in a statement released yesterday evening.

What about the State? Pursuant to agreements signed with Bouygues, the State is currently benefiting from the free loan of the voting rights associated with 20% of Bouygues' shares, which Bouygues remains the owner of. The State also has a set of options which will enable it to acquire, under different pricing terms and dates, all or part of the Alstom shares that it currently "rents".
