Vallourec: reduces net loss in 2018
(CercleFinance.com) - After trading on Wednesday Vallourec announced a net loss, group share of 502 million euros at 31 December 2018, down from 537 million euros the previous year.
The seamless steel tube maker, which also offers premium tubular solutions, reported positive EBITDA of 150 million euros, against just 2 million euros at end-December 2017, thanks to a robust Q4 (+89 million euros, against +11 million euros in the same period of 2017).
Meanwhile, revenues came in at 3.92 billion euros, up 4.6% relative to 2017, including 1.12 billion euros in Q4 alone (+4.3%).
However, the group's financial structure deteriorated, with net debt increasing from 1.54 billion to 2.06 billion euros.
