TotalEnergies: electricity sales contract with Saint-Gobain
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has signed a new 15-year renewable electricity sales contract with Saint-Gobain.
This is the second long-term solar power supply contract designed to help decarbonise the electricity consumption of the building materials company's 125 industrial sites in North America.
Under this 100 MW power sales contract, TotalEnergies will supply clean energy from its Danish Fields (Texas) solar farm, helping to reduce CO2 emissions (Scope 2) from Saint-Gobain's North American electricity production by 90,000 tonnes a year.
With a capacity of 720 MW, the TotalEnergies solar farm is scheduled to come on stream in 2024, and will be the largest solar farm it operates in the US.
