TotalEnergies: Saft wins contract in Côte d'Ivoire
(CercleFinance.com) - The energy group's subsidiary Saft has announced that it has been awarded a major contract to supply a 10MW energy storage system that will facilitate the integration of the Boundiali solar photovoltaic plant in Côte d'Ivoire into the grid.
This fully integrated lithium-ion storage system will comprise six Saft Intensium Max High Energy containers, which will provide a total of 13.8 MWh of energy storage, Saft said.
The 37.5 MWp plant, owned and operated by Côte d'Ivoire Energies, will be the first large-scale solar project in Côte d'Ivoire. The project is an integral part of the country's plans to become the energy hub of West Africa by 2030.
