TotalEnergies: charging stations project in China
(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday TotalEnergies announced that it is teaming up with Chinese energy group China Three Gorges to develop a network of charging stations for electric vehicles in the Wuhan and Hubei province.
Both groups signed an agreement to create a 50-50 joint venture to deploy fast-charging infrastructure and services.
They aim to install and operate over 11,000 high-powered charging points by 2025.
After similar projects in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Paris and London, this is the second major development in Asia for TotalEnergies in the space of just a few months, following the acquisition of the largest network of charging stations in Singapore last July.
For the record, China is aiming to become net zero by 2060.
