Total: inauguration of Saft, Poitiers
(CercleFinance.com) - Saft, Total's subsidiary specialising in batteries, says that it has inaugurated its new electrolyte workshop in Poitiers this Wednesday.
It will enable the site to “increase its flexibility to adapt to the strong demand from the Internet of Things sector”.
Currently the Saft Poitiers site produces approximately 500 tonnes of electrolyte a year. The construction of the new building, with a surface area of 1,900 square metres, will allow capacity to be doubled to reach 1,000 tonnes per year. Production is scheduled to begin in early 2021.
