Total: signs Mozambique LNG project financing
(CercleFinance.com) - Total has announced signing a senior debt financing agreement for the Mozambique LNG project, for a total of 14.
9 billion dollars, the largest funding project ever carried out in Africa.
This project, the country's first onshore LNG plant development, includes the development of the Golfinho and Atum fields, as well as the construction of a two-train liquefaction plant with a total capacity of 13.1 million metric tons per annum.
The 14.9-billion-dollar financing will consist of direct and secured loans from eight export credit agencies, 19 commercial banks and the African Development Bank.
