Total: new discovery in North Sea
(CercleFinance.com) - After Glendronach in September 2018, this Tuesday Total announces having made a significant new discovery in the North Sea off the UK, on the prospect of Glengorm located in Central Graben, by a well drilled to a final depth of 5,056 metres.
This well crossed a reservoir of high quality gas and condensates of 37 metres net. Recoverable resources are estimated at nearly 250 million barrels of oil equivalent. Drilling work and further testing will be carried out in due course.
Total has a 25% stake in the Glengorm discovery. Located on the P2215 permit, this discovery is found near existing infrastructures operated by Total and offers connection possibilities.
