Total: Q4 net income up 19%

(CercleFinance.com) - Total has reported Q4 2017 adjusted net income that is up 19% at 2.
9 billion dollars, or 1.10 dollar per share, with adjusted net operating income of segments up 26% to nearly 3.4 billion dollars.

This result was driven mainly by strong growth in the exploration-production (+79%) and gas, renewables & power (+76%) divisions, while the contribution from refining and chemicals fell by 22% and that of marketing & services grew by just 7%.

Regarding its shareholder remuneration policy, Total proposes a dividend of 2.48 euros per share for 2017, with a 10% increase in the dividend between 2018 and 2020, and share repurchases of up to 5 billion dollars over the period 2018-20.
