Carrefour: stock hit after fine from DGCCRF

(CercleFinance.com) - The Carrefour share is down this morning after the announcement made by the Directorate General for Competition, Consumption and the Repression of Fraud (DGCCRF).

Following the controls carried out during the commercial negotiations for 2019, at the end of 2019 the DGCCRF fined three retail groups for not complying with the rules set by the Commercial Code regarding contractual formalities.

Specifically, the fines are 2,931,000 euros for the company Interdis (Carrefour), 1,140,000 euros for the Coopérative U Ensigne (Système U) and 211,000 euros for the company ITM Food International (Intermarché).

The observations made by CCRF agents of the DIRECCTE of Île-de-France highlighted the fact that the rule fixing a deadline of 1 March for the signing of annual agreements had not been respected for a significant number of suppliers.
