Carrefour: develops e-commerce offer
(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has announced accelerating the deployment of its e-commerce food offering in Paris, opening its first 6 pedestrian pick-up points.
After Lyon and Saint Etienne on 9 April, the store is launching 6 withdrawal points in Paris today (in the 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 20th arrondissements). Once the order has been paid for online, the customer comes to pick his/her shopping up the next day by walking into a local store.
185 new "drives" will be deployed nationwide by the end of 2018 (including 15 pick-up points for pedestrians).
To prepare the orders taken therefrom, Carrefour has an order sorting platform in Aulnay-sous-Bois (Seine-Saint-Denis), near to Paris.
