Carrefour: Alexandre Bompard to take charge from 18 July.

In a statement issued on Friday morning Carrefour said that its board of directors has unanimously chosen Alexandre Bompard to take control of the retail giant.
Mr. Bompard, whose appointment was no longer a surprise, will succeed Georges Plassat as from 18 July. This is earlier than originally planned, as the Board of Directors' decision was to be finalised by the group's AGM of 15 June.
Above all, Georges Plassat was set to remain in charge of the group until the end of his mandate in 2018.
