Air Liquide: PPA contract signed with Vattenfall in Benelux

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide announced on Tuesday that it would be meeting 70% of its renewable electricity needs in the Benelux countries, thanks to signing a new long-term contract with Sweden's Vattenfall.

The industrial gas producer explains that this second renewable energy purchase agreement (PPA) with the Scandinavian company, for an installed capacity of 115 MW, will significantly strengthen its supply in the region.

Signed for 15 years from 2026, this new PPA will bring Air Liquide's total installed renewable electricity generation capacity to around 270 MW in the Benelux, representing over 70% of its current electricity consumption in the region.

This electricity is to be generated by Vattenfall's Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) offshore wind farm, located off the Dutch coast.
