Ubisoft: H1 sales up 14.3%

(CercleFinance.com) - Ubisoft has reported H1 2023/24 sales of E836m, up 14.
3% y-o-y.

The software publisher announced a record level of net bookings for the half-year, at E822m, up 17.6% in the space of twelve months.

In particular, Ubisoft reported net bookings of E554.8m in Q2, up 36.6%, well ahead of its target of around E350m, notably thanks to much higher-than-expected revenues from the back-catalogue, driven by its underlying outperformance and its monetisation through partnerships.

Non-IFRS diluted EPS was E0.01 (compared with E0.93 a year earlier) and IFRS EPS was E0.28, compared with E1.58 a year ago.

For Q3, Ubisoft expects net bookings of around E610m and notes that the outperformance recorded in Q2 and the current good momentum of Ubisoft's brands reinforce its confidence for the rest of the year.

For FY 2023/24, the company confirms its guidance of strong growth in net bookings and non-IFRS operating income of around E400m.
