Atos: creates weather & climate modelling centre
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos and the European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) announce the creation of a new Center of Excellence or Weather & Climate.
Based at the ECMWF's headquarters in Reading (UK), this centre will enable a team of international researchers to access new technology and emerging expertise in AI and quantum computing.
This team will be able to support the ECMWF's scientists in their work on medium and long-range weather forecasting and prediction, and global climate modelling.
