Atos: Thierry Breton's resignation effective
(CercleFinance.com) - In accordance with its communication of 24 October, Atos confirms the resignation of its Chairman and CEO Thierry Breton effective as of 31 October, and the separation of the functions of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, effective as from 1 November.
The IT Services Group's Board of Directors has appointed Bertrand Meunier as non-executive Chairman of the Board of Directors and Elie Girard, who is currently Deputy Chief Executive Officer, as Chief Executive Officer.
For the record, Thierry Breton informed the Board that he wanted to devote himself fully to the preparation of his appointment as European Commissioner. He served as Atos' Chairman and CEO for 11 years.
