Atos: wins contract for California's emergency call system
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos Public Safety LLC has announced the signing of a 198 million dollar five-year contract with the State of California to transform the State's 9-1-1 emergency call system into advanced high-speed communication platforms.
The group will act as the leading network service provider for next-generation emergency call management, providing global emergency call flow management for the State and integration with ESInets, IP networks of regional emergency services.
The State will hence be able to intelligently route, manage and disseminate a wide range of real-time information, including SMS and text in real time. The contract is based on a deal of nearly four years between California and Atos.
