Atos: abandons its plan to acquire Gemalto.
(CercleFinance.com) - Taking note of Thales' offer to acquire Gemalto, at a price of 51 euros per share, Atos' board of directors meeting in the evening decided not to follow on with its plan to acquire Gemalto at a price of 46 euros per share.
However, the IT Services group said that “Should, for any reason, Thales' conditional offer not be completed, Atos shall remain available to discuss a combination with Gemalto.”
