Nexans: contract with Parkwind for 4 wind farms
(CercleFinance.com) - Cable group Nexans has signed a contract with Parkwind to provide turnkey business continuity services for the operator's four offshore wind farms in Belgium.
The Northwind, Belwind, Nobelwind and Northwester 2 wind farms are amongst the largest in the country, with a total installed capacity of 771 MW, providing electricity to over 800,000 homes.
Nexans will provide a range of services, including preliminary engineering studies for potential repair scenarios, periodic inspections of spare parts and emergency ship-based repairs on the interconnector and export cables.
