Nexans: new service for FTTH street cabinets
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans has developed a connected solution to help telecom service providers access FTTH (fibre-to-the-home) street cabinets.
The smart system (called INFRABIRD) for supervision and keyless access can be deployed in just a few minutes to transform cabinets into smart, cloud-connected equipment.
This solution connects FTTH cabinets to IoT (Internet of Things) networks, such as LoRa and Sigfox. It also includes smart locks, such as the battery-free ILOQ S50, to enable keyless access to authorised maintenance personnel, as well as mobile and web applications.
