Nexans: new contract with Vestas Wind Systems
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans has won a two-year global contract with Vestas Wind Systems.
The contract covers the supply of Windlink cable kits for onshore wind turbines in Europe, the United States and China.
Nexans already supplies pre-assembled MV cable kits to Vestas Wind Systems for the main electrical circuit of wind turbines, as well as ready-to-install cables and LV harnesses for the nacelle and mast, and even accessories, such as connectors and lightning conductors.
"Nexans has launched a resident engineer programme with Vestas. In the framework of this programme, Nexans has been working hand-in-hand with Vestas teams to reduce levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and allow Vestas' customers to achieve the best possible return on investment (ROI)," the group said.
