Eurofins: $30m 'Covid-19' contract in the US
(CercleFinance.com) - Eurofins, the French bio-analysis giant, announced on Friday that it has been awarded a 30 million dollar contract by the US authorities.
The scientific group has been awarded a contract by the Air Force and the Department of Health and Human Services to expand its production capacity for laboratory reagents used in testing for Covid-19.
According to Eurofins, the new facility will focus on the certified synthetic manufacture of oligonucleotides for molecular testing, a method that is considered highly reliable for virus identification.
The expansion project concerns Eurofins Genomics' site in Louisville, Kentucky, the company's strategic hub in the US that enables it to optimally serve the US.
