Air France-KLM: passenger traffic up 5.2% in March
(CercleFinance.com) - Air France-KLM has announced passenger traffic that is up 5.
2% in March, based on capacity that is up 2.2%, which has led to a 2.5-point improvement in its load factor to 87.3%.
The airline announced having transported about 6.9 million passengers (+4.2%) under its Air France, KLM and HOP! banners. The impact on the group's operating income resulting from the strike action between 22 February and 11 April is estimated at around -170 million euros.
Meanwhile, the Franco-Dutch group's "low cost" airline, Transavia, saw its traffic increase by 17.2%, with 1.1 million passengers transported (+14.2%), while cargo traffic fell by 1.7%.
