Kone: wins 107 escalator order in eastern China
(CercleFinance.com) - Finnish lift maker Kone said on Tuesday that it has won an order for 107 escalators for the first phase of a metro line in Jinan, the capital of eastern China's Shandong province, but did not unveil the terms of the deal.
The company said that it will equip 10 of the metro line's stations, which will be 36.4 kilometres long, including a 34.5-kilometre underground section. The contract also includes two years of maintenance.
Traditionally a major bus transport hub, Jinan opened its first metro line only in 2019 and currently has two lines in service.
Installations are expected to be completed at the end of 2020, Kone said.
