Nokia: now totals 100 commercial contracts in 5G
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announced on Friday that it has signed 17 new fifth generation (5G) telephony contracts during the third quarter, which enables it to exceed the 100 commercial agreements threshold in the field.
The Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer - which this week won two contracts with the British operator BT and the Finnish Elisa - in particular announces agreements with the four main US operators and the top three in Japan.
The group also mentions increasingly favourable momentum within companies, which now represent 12% of its 5G contracts.
Nokia says that it has recently signed contracts with the German railway company Deutsche Bahn, the Japanese car maker Toyota and the Swedish industrial group Sandvik.
Taking into account the paid test phases, the telecom equipment maker says it has a total of 160 commercial commitments from its customers regarding 5G.
