Nokia: contract for optical network in China
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces that State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), the world's largest electricity provider, with over 1.
1 billion residential clients, will deploy an "agile and programmable" optical network using its advanced IP/optical solutions.
"The deployment will allow SGCC to expand network coverage to more power stations and business offices, while also increasing capacity and flexibility," the Finnish telecom supplier said.
The operation will cover new deployments in the provinces of Hebei and Hunan, as well as in the municipality of Chongqing, in addition to expansions in ten other provinces, including Jibei, Jiangsu and Sichuan.
