Nokia: to help with Hotwire new ultra-fast network
(CercleFinance.com) - US fiber-optic telecommunications provider Hotwire will deploy Nokia's fiber solution for a new ultra-broadband network in the Southeastern US, the Finnish company said on Tuesday.
Hotwire, which specialises in residential and commercial services, will deploy Nokia's XGS-PON1 solution to enhance its network and deliver 10Gbps services to its North Carolina customers.
The new services will include streaming video in 4k, 8k and 12k, Nokia said.
Nokia also said that Poland's Netia will deploy its solutions to increase the network capacity required to support surging bandwidth demands, creating Europe's first fully virtualised Distributed Access Architecture (vDAA) cable network.
