Nokia: wins public cloud deal with China Mobile
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia has won a deal to build an advanced cloud infrastructure for China Mobile, the largest telecommunications operator in China, the company said on Wednesday.
China Mobile has selected a Nokia Nuage Networks solution to meet the needs of a massive deployment of approximately 2000 public cloud servers in the cities of Beijing and Guangzhou.
The software-defined networking (SDN) solution will increase the speed of deployments by ten times, while reducing operating expenses by up to 50%, the Finnish company said.
