Nokia: to deploy fiber technology for China Mobile.
(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia will deploy home gateway units to over 30 million China Mobile's users in 2017, the Finnish telecoms equipment maker said on Monday.
Under the deal, the company will provide residential customers across 29 different provinces in China with access to fiber-based ultra-broadband applications and intelligent home services.
Using established fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) networks, the solution will bring gigabit speeds and hence deliver ultra-broadband applications such as 4K TV services to customers.
This contract extends a long-term fixed network partnership between China Mobile and Nokia.
