Siemens Gamesa: order for 95 wind turbines
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens Gamesa today announced that it has signed a firm order with ScottishPower Renewables to supply 95 units of its flagship SG 14-236 DD wind turbine for the East Anglia 3 wind project in the North Sea, with a total capacity of 1.
4 GW.
A service contract is also included - initially for eight years.
The project will cover an area of approximately 305 km2 and will eventually provide clean electricity to 1.3 million UK homes.
The installation is expected to start in spring 2026 and be completed by the end of the year.
