BASF: shares up, Barclays top pick
(CercleFinance.com) - Shares in BASF add over 2 per cent, lifted by bullish comments from BarCap which reiterates its view that the stock is a "top pick" given its attractive risk/reward profile.
In a note to clients, the broker says it expects BASF to outperform in the second half, as the German chemicals group will benefit from lower prices in its upstream business and earnings will continue to grow.
Shares in BASF are currently up 2.1, versus a 1.5 per cent rise in the DAX index.
