Hannover Re: new CEO in 2019
(CercleFinance.com) - Hannover Re has said that its supervisory board has appointed Jean-Jacques Henchoz as a member of its executive board from 1 April, and then CEO of the group after its AGM of 8 May 2019.
Jean-Jacques Henchoz will then succeed Ulrich Wallin, who will leave the German reinsurer after a career of 35 years. Since his appointment as CEO in 2009, Hannover Re's earnings have increased from 700 million euros to 1 billion euros.
Since 2011, Jean-Jacques Henchoz has been in charge of the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region at the Swiss reinsurer Zurich Re, in charge of both life and non-life activities in this area.
