Lufthansa: new payment system at check-in.
(CercleFinance.com) - Starting from June, Lufthansa Group now offers a simple and secure payment option available directly at the check-in desk, thanks to 'Amadeus Airport Pay'.
This is a new payment service developed by Amadeus and Ingenico. It will soon be available in over 170 airports worldwide.
The Group's clients will, for example, be able to pay for ancillary services such as excess baggage with their chip card (credit card, debit card, Girocard etc.) and compatible digital wallets.
“Amadeus Airport Pay enables our travellers to choose customised ancillary services for their flight while checking in or at the gate - securely and with a variety of payment options, and without the need for detours”, says Kai Schilb, Head of Payment at Lufthansa Group Hub Airlines.
