(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen has pleasantly surprised, with the group reporting a 15.
1% increase in Q3 operating profit at 4.32 billion euros on Friday.
This result has significantly exceeded the consensus of 4.17 billion euros, meaning that 9m operating profit reached 13.23 billion euros at end-September, up 17.4% y-o-y.
Net profit fell by 51.2% in Q3 to 1.14 billion euros, meaning 5.92 billion at 30 September (+30.8%).
Finally, in terms of business, Volkswagen posted turnover of 170.86 billion euros at the end of the first three quarters of its fiscal year, up 6.8%, including 55 billion euros in Q3 (+5.8%).
