Wirecard: stock up 5% on optimistic forecasts

(CercleFinance.com) - The Wirecard stock, which is up almost 5%, is - by far - the sharpest riser in the DAX 30 index in Frankfurt this morning.

At an investor day in London, the electronic payment processing specialist, which remains very dynamic, provided very optimistic medium-term forecasts.

As a reminder, in the first half of 2018, Wirecard's sales jumped 45.8% to nearly 900 million euros, while EBITDA rose 39% to 245.4 million euros. For FY 2018, management targets EBITDA of between 530 million to 560 million euros. In 2020, revenues are expected to exceed three billion euros, with EBITDA of around one billion euros. These "old" forecasts were hence confirmed at the meeting.

And it's not over yet: management is still focused on the global transition to digital transactions, mobile payments and e-commerce, giving Wirecard longer-term forecasts: by 2025, the group target revenues of at least ten billion euros, with EBITDA of at least 3.3 billion euros.
