Siemens: unveils Mireo Plus H hydrogen train
(CercleFinance.com) - Deutsche Bahn (DB) and Siemens Mobility have for the first time presented parts of the brand new "Mireo Plus H", the next generation hydrogen train, as well as a new mobile hydrogen storage trailer at the Siemens plant in Krefeld (Germany).
The train and its new infrastructure are intended to replace diesel trains in commuter and regional transport and reduce rail-related CO2 emissions to zero.
The Mireo Plus H will begin testing in Baden-Württemberg in 2023 before commissioning in 2024 between Tübingen, Horb and Pforzheim.
