Siemens: acquisition of software provider Sqills
(CercleFinance.com) - Siemens today announced that its subsidiary Siemens Mobility has completed the acquisition of Sqills, a Dutch provider of cloud-based software for inventory management, reservation and ticketing for public transport operators worldwide.
Sqills will be managed as a separate legal entity and will be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Siemens Mobility, a structure that will enable Sqills to strengthen its leading position in providing innovative, smart and comprehensive mobility solutions.
Founded in 2002 in Enschede, the Netherlands, Sqills currently employs 160 people and has a fast-growing, scalable SaaS business model, Siemens said.
