Siemens: buys low-voltage power specialist in India
(CercleFinance.com) - German conglomerate Siemens said on Friday that it has agreed to acquire New Delhi-based C&S Electric, a provider of electrical and electronic equipment for power generation infrastructure, to meet the increasing demand in India.
Siemens said that the deal will strengthen its position as a key supplier of low-voltage power distribution and electrical installation technology in one of the world's fastest-growing economies.
Under the agreement, Siemens will acquire approximately 99% of C&S's share capital for around 267 million euros.
